great location nearby beach good hotel damp bathroom bathroom update leaking toilet
the location is great with the beach nearby. the weather in january 2024 was very wet, but the hotel was good. joining escorted trips meant a 45-minute journey to funchal.
The food was not always hot enough. the bathroom needed updating as it was damp. the bathroom sink and toilet leaked. we did not report it.

helpful staff prompt room service on-site restaurants maintained equipment
I found the hotel staff friendly and helpful . The room service was prompt and the daily cleaning was thorough. I enjoyed the convenience of having several on-site restaurants with varied menus. I used the fitness center and found the equipment well maintained.
The Wi-Fi signal was occasionally weak in certain areas of the hotel, a bit difficult to work remotely at times.

I had a Suite Sea View All Inclusive room with a king-size bed. It was very comfortable, with crisp linens. The room included a separate seating area with a sofa and a large balcony overlooking the ocean. A mini-fridge, restocked daily with water and soft drinks, was available too.

The outdoor pool had plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas, offering adequate shade. There was a separate children's pool, very convenient. I used the indoor pool and it was clean and well kept, with comfortable temperature.

The main buffet restaurant served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There was a good variety of options each day. I visited the à la carte restaurant twice and the food was AMAZING!!! The all-inclusive drinks included a selection of cocktails, beer, and wine, available at multiple bars.

Solid Hotel Stay
on-site supermarket efficient staff
The hotel had a supermarket on site. I found this convenient for quick needs. I also found there were many sunbeds and parasols around the pool. Staff at the pool bar were efficient. The hotel ran a daily bus service to Funchal for twenty pounds.
The air conditioning in my first room did not work. I reported the problem at arrival. It was not addressed professionally.

flavorless food uncomfortable mattress
i thought the room was acceptable. it was very clean and the beach view was really nice.
i was not happy. the food was not good. the food lacked flavor, and the buffet was not very diverse. the mattress was old and uncomfortable. i couldn't get a good night's sleep.

super clean hotel themed nights
the hotel is super clean in all areas. staff are great and very cute. i found good food in all three restaurants with varied themed nights.
the corridor lighting is sensor activated and its timing needs tweaking. guests walk in pitch black for considerable distance

i found the location lovely! it provided easy access to everything i needed. cristina at the front desk was particularly nice, always ready to help.
the food was plentiful but not hot enough for me. i visited the à la carte restaurant twice and it was worth it.
